WolfMarkDown Privacy Notice

Who we are and what this notice covers

WolfMarkDown is a Markdown skill and plugin provided by WolfMark Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17176391). Our registered office is Unit A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, England, IP28 7DE.

This notice covers WolfMarkDown and information you choose to send us for support. Our website privacy policy separately explains visits to our website, its contact form, and newsletter subscriptions.

Documents and your agent host

WolfMarkDown uses the file and command tools available in the agent host you choose. The host may read your selected documents, use a model to repair their structure, and run the bundled scripts to format and verify them.

The execution environment may be on your device, a remote machine, or a hosted workspace. Using WolfMarkDown does not guarantee that your documents stay on your device. The host and model provider determine their processing, logging, retention, training settings, and geographic locations. Review their policies and account settings before supplying sensitive information.

WolfMarkDown does not require a WolfMark account or provide a WolfMark document-processing service. We do not receive your documents through the bundled processing scripts. We may receive content if you deliberately send it to us for support or publish it in an issue.

Files and verification evidence

The workflow may create source snapshots, working candidates, final Markdown files, previews, and verification receipts in the execution environment. Receipts and command output can contain file paths, content hashes, structural information, diagnostic messages, and excerpts or recognised values from your documents.

Treat these artefacts as potentially sensitive. They remain subject to your host's storage, logging, synchronisation, backup, and retention settings. Temporary-file cleanup is part of the workflow, but deleting a file or disabling the plugin does not guarantee deletion from host logs, conversations, backups, or a model provider's systems. Manage those copies through the relevant provider or administrator.

Installation and network access

Initial setup or dependency repair may run npm to download the pinned runtime packages. The configured package registry, network providers, and npm infrastructure may receive ordinary connection and package-request information, including your IP address and package metadata. npm's configured behaviour may also include dependency audit requests.

The bundled Markdown-processing scripts do not upload document contents as part of those downloads and contain no WolfMark analytics or advertising trackers. This does not describe telemetry or other network activity performed independently by your host, model provider, package manager, or installed extensions.

Support information

If you contact us, we may receive your name or account handle, contact details, messages, and any files, screenshots, logs, or examples you provide. We use this information to answer support enquiries, investigate reported problems, and maintain WolfMarkDown. We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and maintaining the product.

The WolfMark contact form is processed by Web3Forms. The information you submit is sent to Web3Forms, which forwards it to hello@wolfmark.tools. Web3Forms may retain submissions under its own privacy policy. We use submissions to respond to your enquiry. See the website privacy policy for further details.

WolfMarkDown support is also available through GitHub issues. Issues are public, including any personal information or files you post. Do not include passwords, tokens, confidential documents, or personal information about other people. Prefer a small, redacted example. GitHub handles information posted to its service under its own privacy statement.

Retention. We keep private support enquiries and copies only for as long as needed to respond and handle reasonable follow-up, in line with applicable data protection law. Web3Forms may retain contact-form submissions under its own policy. Information posted in GitHub issues is subject to GitHub's retention and removal processes and may remain public after an issue is resolved.

International transfers. Web3Forms may process contact-form information outside the UK; see our website privacy policy. GitHub says it stores and processes personal data in multiple locations, including the United States and other countries. Its privacy statement describes the transfer mechanisms it uses, including Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. WolfMark Ltd does not otherwise transfer support information outside the UK.

Your choices and rights

You choose which files and content to make available to the agent host. You do not need to send document contents to WolfMark Ltd to use the plugin. Without sufficient diagnostic information, we may be unable to investigate a support request.

For personal information held by WolfMark Ltd, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict processing, or receive a portable copy. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us to exercise your rights. Requests concerning your host or model provider's copies should also be directed to that provider.

You can raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office or the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

For WolfMarkDown privacy enquiries, use the WolfMark contact page. Please identify WolfMarkDown in your message and avoid including sensitive document contents unless needed to explain the request.
